“Knowledge becomes wisdom only when it becomes your own experience.”
If someone had told me at the age of 20 that I would found a yoga academy, I would have laughed.
At the time, I had a secure job in IT, but I was sitting in front of the computer for more hours than my body could tolerate. Desperately searching for a solution to my chronic back pain, I discovered "Flying Yoga."
It was love at first... movement.
My enthusiasm was so great that I did something completely irrational for a "rational" person: I turned down a promising job in IT in Bucharest, choosing instead to "hang out" in a hammock and follow this calling. My mentor at the time, Anthony Cardenas, saw potential in me that I didn't even suspect myself.
So I set out with tremendous enthusiasm... and failed gloriously! Enthusiasm is no substitute for experience, and at the time, not only did I lack experience as an entrepreneur, but I was also too stubborn to listen to others. But I learned the most important lesson the hard way: if you want to write your own life story, don't let anyone else hold the pen.
What followed were nights of despair, frustration, and that heavy voice telling me, "You're not good enough. Go back to IT."
If Omni Yoga exists today, it is not because I was an invincible heroine, but because my family was there. They not only supported me, but loved me enough to let me make mistakes, to venture into the unknown without judging me or asking me "why are you getting involved in this?"
They were simply there. No strings attached, no expectations, ready to pick me up whenever I felt like I couldn't go on.
That's what family means to me: it's what I got and exactly what I want to pass on. That's why Omni Yoga will never be a cold corporation; it's a labor of love, backed by a family.
I did absolutely everything: I wrote articles, organized events, collaborated with various teachers, and absorbed information like a sponge. I ended up filling my walls with diplomas and certifications gathered from all over, but in reality, continuous learning was my way of building my self-confidence, brick by brick.
From this solid foundation of practice and teaching, Omni Yoga Studio was born in 2017.
But as a teacher trainer, I was still wearing a mask and feeling the pressure to be "perfect." Although I had my own studio, I was teaching future instructors at another school. I felt like I had to follow a traditional path so as not to make mistakes, repeating the experiences and feelings of others instead of honoring my own.
Then the pandemic hit.
The world stopped, and I had time to listen.
That was my turning point: I decided I needed my own school, where I could teach yoga exactly as I experience it.
I understood that you can't go wrong as long as you are authentic and let your own experience speak for itself, without fear of not meeting others' expectations.
The structured way of thinking from IT helped me create a logical and coherent educational system, and in 2021, the work paid off: I obtained my first official accreditation, and the project evolved into Omni Yoga School.
The school was not just a business move, but my moment of liberation: "This is who I am. This is how I feel. This is how I teach."
You know that saying, "The master appears when you are ready"? That's exactly what happened. Swami Vidyanand, founder of Yoga Alliance International India, personally invited me to visit him in India.
It took me a year to gather the courage for that trip, but that month spent there, living right in Swamiji's house, changed everything.
Receiving authentic initiations from a Guru does not mean receiving a diploma, but rather receiving a blessing, a transmission of power, and a huge responsibility.
When I returned home with the title of Grand Master in meditation, the energy of my school had changed. Thus, in 2024, the School organically transformed into the Omni Yoga Academy — recognized today by three global organizations: Yoga Alliance International India, World Yoga Federation, and Meditation Alliance International.
Initially, I thought that this academy would attract only future instructors. I was surprised to discover that many of those who crossed the school's threshold were looking for something completely different: depth, transformation, and understanding, but without the desire to teach others.
So I transformed the academy into a school based on inclusion: you don't have to become or want to become an instructor to learn yoga in depth.
I created an open space for both those seeking their own evolution as practitioners and those who feel the call to guide others, honoring each person's pace.
MY COMMITMENT
I don't promise spectacular results, and I can't do the work for you. Real transformation comes from practice, from the curiosity to get to know yourself. I offer you the space, guidance, clarity, and structure. But the path... is yours. I guide. You walk.
The person behind the structure Beyond the title of Grand Master and international accreditations, I am Renata. A curious explorer who never tires of asking questions in an attempt to understand human nature.
If you want to find out how this journey really began and how a simple need led me to my vocation, I invite you to get to know me beyond business.
